In the beginning

I created this site so that I could write down my thoughts, feelings, findings and experiences in daily life, as well as on the internet. I am constantly online, so I thought that keeping what would be an online journal would be something worthwhile to do. I already had a livejournal account, but found that designing it was far too complicated, and the end results were never that good. So, I created a blog.

What does the site do?

The site started as a simple, one page blog, and it has grown into a full blown website all about me. It showcases some of my photography, and also gives me a chance to experiment with design.

Design

I have designed all of my blog, and although not being an expert at all - infact a complete novice, I have edited the CSS template to how I like it, and personally I think i've done a pretty good job. I have added a lot to the site, and I love adding more. CSS is very much in the future, and I want to learn it now. I have created all the graphics, including the banner, favicon and page background.

How is it run

wakingupsober is managed by Blogger because it's free and easy to use. I plan to change as soon as possible though.

Plans for the future

I have many plans for the future as to how I want my blog to evolve. I see many blogs each day which inspire me and want to create more! I love many different styles of web and graphic design, and to try and encompass all of these into one site, I plan to create 4-5 skins that will be randomly selected when a visitor comes to the site. Hopefully, this will work out soon. I also plan to buy some proper hosting, so that I can lose the .blogspot part of the URL.
